Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) is all set to introduce a mid-life refresh for the Venue sub-compact SUV in the Indian market tomorrow, i.e. June 16. The company has already revealed the complete design of the 2022 Venue facelift, while also confirmed its equipment list ahead of its launch. Here is a list of everything you need to know about the 2022 Hyundai Venue facelift, take a look – Exterior Design The 2022 Hyundai Venue Venue facelift will feature an updated front-end with a new, larger parametric jewel grille design, flanked by the same split-headlamp design but new LED DRLs. The main headlamp unit will continue to be a separate piece, placed in the lower portion of the front bumper.
At the rear, the 2022 Venue boasts brand-new L-shaped wraparound LED tail lights that are connected together by a LED light bar. The dual-tone alloy wheels are also new, along with some additional plastic treatment on the rear bumper. Hyundai has confirmed that the updated SUV will be offered with seven colour options, including Polar White, Typhoon Silver, Phantom Black, Denim Blue, Titan Grey, Fiery Red, and Fiery Red with black roof. Interior & Features While the overall cabin layout will largely remain unchanged, Hyundai has revealed that the 2022 Venue will be equipped with some new first in segment technologies like Home to car (H2C) with Alexa & Google Voice Assistant (English and Hindi language support); 60+ Bluelink connected features; and a 2 step rear reclining seat.
Some functions that can be controlled with the H2C feature include remote climate control, find my car, tyre pressure information, fuel information, remote door lock/unlock, etc. Apart from that, the new Venue will now also be offered with Drive Mode Select with Normal, Eco and Sports modes, and a digital instrument cluster. Powertrains The Hyundai Venue facelift is expected to retain all its powertrains. This means that the engines on offer will include a 1.2-litre NA petrol engine (83 PS/114 Nm), a 1.0-litre turbo petrol motor (120 PS/172 Nm), as well as a 1.5-litre diesel engine (100 PS/240 Nm). The transmission options will consist of a 5-speed MT, a 6-speed MT, a 6-speed iMT (clutch-less manual), and a 7-speed DCT. Expected pricing & Rivals Owing to all the changes, Hyundai could launch the 2022 Venue at a base price of around Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom). Upon arrival, the updated car will continue to rival the likes of Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Nissan Magnite, Renault Kiger, and Mahindra XUV300, while its biggest rival Maruti Suzuki Brezza is also set to be updated later this month.
