An East Kilbride primary school has made it to the final of the Keep Scotland Beautiful Pocket Garden competition once again.
Greenhills Primary are the only school in the town to have made it through and are looking for support from the town.
Pupils were challenged to design and create a mini-garden and out of 340 entries Greenhills made it to a final showcase of 45.

The theme of the EK school’s Pocket Garden was based on the story of Stone Soup, a traditional tale from Eastern Europe, and tells of a hungry traveller who visits a food scarce village.
And pupils have really shown their green fingers with the garden a blooming marvellous addition to the school.
Acting principal teacher, Jenni Walker, told Lanarkshire Live : “We chose the story of Stone Soup because it shows how sharing is not only caring, but how much stronger and better we can be working together as a team.

“Our garden has bug boxes for the wildlife, a bee watering station made from a bowl filled with stones that have the characters from the story painted on, which our gardening club helped with.
“We have also included lots of wildlife friendly herbs such as thyme, oregano, chives and nasturtiums and our broccoli is uncovered to encourage the cabbage white butterfly to lay eggs.
“We had wheat seeds donated by the Royal Highland Education Trust who run a ‘grow your own loaf’ campaign and had advice and several plants donated by an active member of the Scottish Rock Garden Club.
“A member of the Strathaven Climate Action Group donated a hessian bag to grow the potatoes in.”
Ms Walker added: “We definitely learned that some things are easier to imagine than to create and we had to try several different ways to make our woodpile so that we could plant flowers into it.
“After the competition we would like to let our garden carry on growing so we can enjoy harvesting the vegetables and watching for wildlife.”

Gardens are listed alphabetically by local authority. Voting will close at 9am on Monday, June 20 so make sure you cast your vote before then.
The top three gardens will be announced after the vote, alongside discretionary Certificates of Achievement from judges.
