A Lanarkshire community has come together to help the dreams of a young girl come true as she bravely battles a brain tumour.
Little Faye Taylor was diagnosed with a tumour deep in her brain stem which affects one side of the body.
The nine-year-old had been complaining to her mum, Elaine, of having symptoms such as a sore head and pains in her left leg, arm and hand.

Sadly, after an MRI scan at the Royal Hospital for Sick Kids in Glasgow, Elaine and husband Gavin were told the tumour was inoperable but there are plans to conduct a six-week course of radiotherapy in the hope that it stops the tumour from spreading or growing.
In response to this devastating news, residents of Craigneuk have rallied together with a fundraising page set up to let Faye enjoy making memories with her mum, dad and older siblings Lewis, Jodie and Harvey.
Page creator Christine McGeechan posted: “The prognosis for this beautiful, kind, cheeky, funny nine-year-old is not good so please give what you can to help this lovely family make beautiful memories with Faye.
“Thank you.”

Within hours of the page being set up the £1000 target had not only been smashed but nearly doubled with the total sitting at £1985 in just one day.
Brave Faye is a pupil at Berryhill Primary and loves animals and enjoys playing with her hamster Buttercup.
When asked what she would like to do by her mum, Faye replied: “I love spending time with animals.
“I like to pet them and feed them so if I could have a dream day#, it would be to spend it with the animals.”
And one of Faye’s dreams will come true over the next few weeks thanks to the Les Hoey MBE DreamMaker Foundation who have helped organise a trip to Blair Drummond Safari Park where she will get the opportunity to feed her favourite animals.
Charity founder Les said: “We were inundated with requests to help Faye and her family and we were only too happy to help.”
Faye’s mum Elaine thanked the public for all their support and their prayers over the past few weeks.
She said: “I would just like to thank everyone for coming to see us and offering their help.

“Their kindness and generosity is really helping us to get through this very difficult time.
“We have been overwhelmed by the response from the community.
“I would also like to thank 371 Tattoo Studio in Wishaw for doing tattoos for Gavin and myself which Faye designed free of charge.
“Faye drew a picture of four stars and a heart and Gavin got it done.
