Novak Djokovic defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final of the Italian Open 2022, bringing up his first title of the year in the process. With a 6-0, 7-6(5) victory, the World No.1 lifted his trophy in Rome, as well as his record-extending 38th Masters 1000 title. The tennis sensation has been working to find top form after missing the majority of the early-season schedule because his unvaccinated against COVID-19, which made him ineligible to compete at many events, including the Australian Open. Djokovic didn’t drop a single set across five matches to win the tournament.
