On Wednesday night, after a 40-game winning streak (the second-longest in the shows history), Amy Schneider lost Jeopardy, taking house $1,382,000.
Rather: She lost on Wednesday evening East Coast time, as West Coast Jeopardy fans quickened to point out when specific East Coast– based news companies absolutely messed up the surprise by sending push notices at 7:30 PM ET, prior to the episode had aired on the West Coast or perhaps in all East Coast markets. (Jeopardy! itself would never do this.).
Little dissatisfactions hit especially tough throughout a pandemic. This was not an exception. It was, possibly, the anti-exception.
Even local news was in on it.
Im still mad about this. I DVR @Jeopardy so I can see it later on in the evening and do whatever I can to avoid spoilers when there are big streaks going … only for @nytimes to feel the need to reveal @Jeopardamys loss with a f n push notification.

. If you send a push notice that states Jeopardy Spoiler, dont make the sneak peek have the spoiler in it. A great regional news source does not send out a push notice that ruins the Jeopardy!
