KRATIE: A brand-new 93.56-kilometer-long stretch of National Road No. 7 in Kratie Province, built from a $39 million-dollar grant from China, was officially inaugurated on Monday early morning. The event was presided over by Prime Minister Hun Sen and other senior ministers. This road is part of the Asian Highway 11 (AH11) and will help to promote the development of the Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam Development Triangle Area (CLV DTA).

The Senior Minister stated that the brand-new stretch of road extends from the roundabout in the town of Kapo, Sangkat Or Russey, Kratie to Romeat town, Or Kreang commune in Sambo district. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the Minister of Public Works and Transport, Sun Chanthol, stated that this road is part of AH11 and the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Corridor, which links Kunming in Southern China through Vientiane, Laos; Phnom Penh, and towards the port of Sihanoukville, Cambodia.
