Alec Baldwin seeks termination of civil match over fatal Rust shooting
Alec Baldwin has requested for the dismissal of a civil claim originating from the deadly Rust shooting.
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) – Lawyers for Alec Baldwin and other manufacturers of the movie “Rust” have asked a judge to reject a civil case filed by a script manager who was on the set when the star fatally shot a cinematographer. The lawyers argued in a filing in Los Angeles Superior Court on Monday that the claim by Mamie Mitchell must be dismissed since there was no evidence that Baldwin or any of the manufacturers implied to cause injury. Baldwin was both the main star and manufacturer of the independent Western picture.
