Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk met with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić to discuss Serbia’s progress on EU membership, highlighting Serbia’s importance to the EU and the potential for bilateral cooperation and stronger economy.

During the talks in the Serbian capital, the two men discussed Serbia’s progress towards membership in the European Union.
“You know that I am more skeptical than realistic, but they have opened new perspectives and a new hope that it is possible to hope for in the future, I would not say an acceleration but a kind of different relationship next to everything what is necessary. what we must do,” Vučić told reporters after the meeting, describing the details of the negotiations.
“Without Serbia, the European Union is not complete,” Tusk said alongside Vučić.
“We are aware of Serbia’s ambitions in terms of growth plan to accelerate its European journey. For Poland, bilateral relations with Serbia are important, especially strengthening economic relations,” Tusk added.
The Polish Prime Minister also said that after a long and open discussion, he better understood Serbia’s position and expressed confidence that their conversation would lead to greater cooperation between Serbia, the EU and Poland.
