To the editor: The photo accompanying your article on the explosive growth of warehouses in the Inland Empire illustrates a glaring neglect, also evidenced in every illustration of such growth.
Why don’t building codes require the roofs of these sprawling structures to be covered in solar panels? There are miles and miles of roofs on huge air-conditioned buildings using energy from a stressed grid, when they could all be creating their own energy.
How can this be made mandatory?

To the editor: Voting for politicians who are in the pockets of big business creates an environment of unregulated growth that ultimately falls on individual citizens.
These same politicians know they will get re-elected anyway because their voters only pay attention to culture war issues and then later complain about the economy and government arrogance.
