The Chrisleys can’t seem to catch a break. Weeks later Julie ChrisleyHer conviction did not go as she had hoped, Todd Chrisley lost his job in prison.
The reality star was reportedly fired from his position as an administrative officer at his correctional center while serving his sentence.
Todd Chrisley and his wife, Julie Chrisley, received a total of 19 years in prison for bank fraud and tax evasion and began their respective sentences last January.
Todd Chrisley Was kicked out of his prison job For being too talkative with inmates
The reality TV star was fired from the administrative post to the chapel of FPC Pensacola, where he currently serving its time.
Todd was reportedly on his best behavior by serving the chaplain and helping with set up for religious services for different prisoners of all religious origins.
He has, however, been spotted doing something more on the side, like working in a small office next to the prison’s residential drug program and speaking with inmates in the program.
His lawyer confirmed that his conduct was a violation of the rules and regulations of the prison, because some of the inmates in the program have access to the outside world, and it is not a good idea for Todd to engage in any communication with them.
TMZ I understand that Todd found the work rewarding and is looking forward to being reinstated. so that he can resume his duties. Nonetheless, he is still able to attend his religious duties as he would “lean on God to help him serve his 12-year sentence.”
Todd previously claimed prison officials fed inmates unhealthy meals
Todd’s dismissal came after The explosion shared last December that the reality star accused FPC Pensacola of feeding inmates animal-infested food.
He claimed the establishment had rats/squirrels in their food storage rooms and revealed a dead cat had fallen from the ceiling into their food. Todd explained that his meals are laden with black mold and are at least a year past their expiration date.
The celebrity said in her statement that because the food was infested with rodents, meals prepared by the correctional facility’s kitchen wereSO, terrible, unpleasant and unhealthy.
Prison officials vehemently denied Todd’s allegations and set the record straight
Todd’s claims were immediately rejected by the FBOP who insisted that their prisons provided superior and humane facilities.
The organization said their kitchens operate under strict hygiene rules and regulations while prioritizing the needs of each inmate and providing them with “healthy, nutritionally sound and appetizing meals.”
Prison officials added that claims of mold on food are also false because they make a point of always throwing out expired meals. Surprisingly, prison officials reportedly helped inmates like Todd air their grievances.
They explained that prison authorities would only listen to those who follow the proper channels.
In that of Julie Chrisley Re-sentence hearing
The Chrisley couple has certainly suffered a major disappointment lately. Last month, The explosion noted that the family matriarch and Todd’s wife, Julie, had been asked to serve her original 7-year sentence, dashing their hopes of a speedy return home.
The judge overseeing the case in the Northern District of Georgia said she received several letters from Julie’s family, including her daughter, Savannah Chrisley, and from a licensed therapist for the convicted couple.
Throughout most of the letter, the authors expressed concern about the safety of the Chrisley children as a reason to reduce Julie’s prison sentence. However, the judge was not convinced as he insisted that the Chrisley children are not minors with no access to therapy.
She stressed that she would give the 51-year-old a free pass. just because she is a parent. The judge also denied Julie’s request to self-report to her Kentucky detention center after a 24-hour furlough.
Why did matriarch Chrisley have to be sentenced again?
Julie’s presence in court was made easier by a costly error made during his initial sentencing judgment. The reality star was sentenced to 7 years in prison in November 2022 alongside Todd, who was sentenced to 12 years in prison.
A federal judge then ruled that his first conviction to be thrown away After it was discovered that the decision held her responsible for the entire bank fraud rather than noting that she was only part of it.
The fraud and federal tax evasion involved two other people, including her husband and their accountant, Peter Tarantino, which meant she could not be considered the sole perpetrator.
While Julie lucked out with the sentencing hearing, albeit unsuccessfully, Todd and Tarantino’s time remained the same.
Will Todd Chrisley ever stop getting in trouble with prison officials?
