To the editor: That of President-elect Donald Trump proposed prices on products imported from Mexico will seriously disrupt the Mexican economy, which could lead to layoffs and increased unemployment in that country. This situation could increase the flow of Mexican migrants seeking employment in the United States.
Ironically, these same migrants could likely find work in the factories and farms whose workers will be expelled under Trump’s proposed mass expulsion policy. Talk about a vicious circle.

It is not excluded that Trump uses this strategy when negotiating with other entities, whether national leaders, politicians or the media.
