Americans will go to the polls to vote for the President of the United States. We will contact VOA correspondents across the country. And while every vote counts in presidential elections, not all votes carry equal weight. How a candidate wins is more complicated. It comes down to what’s called the Electoral College, where the winner is determined by the candidate who gets the most votes in each state. Western University political science professor Matthew Lebo joins us to explain how the Electoral College works and what to watch for on election night.
