Tesla describes its Cybertruck as a durable, rugged vehicle that can go anywhere, but a Nevada man learned this week that’s not always the case after his truck got stuck on a national beach in Nevada County. Monterey.
The incident occurred Monday at Marina State Beach when the owner of the Cybertruck drove over a curb and sidewalk and passed a sign that read “no vehicles on the beach or in the dunes,” according to Douglas Johnson, chief of California State Parks information.
“The Cybertruck quickly got stuck,” he said. “With the help of the marina firefighters, the vehicle was able to exit by evacuating the air from the tires.”
KSBW Action News 8 posted a video on its TikTok account. The video was taken by a woman on the beach and shows a national park officer speaking to three men near the Cybertruck. In the video, the woman and others laugh as the men push the truck off the beach. Johnson said the driver was fined $280.
The incident happened just one day after a Tesla Cybertruck crashed into the sign of the Beverly Hills Hotel on Sunday evening, sparking reactions on social media from the hotel and Tesla founder Elon Musk.
A user on X, formerly Twitter, joked in a post that the hotel valet had crashed his friend’s Cybertruck. Musk replied to the post: “The Cyberbeast is faster than a Porsche 911, but looks like a truck, so maybe the valet wasn’t expecting that much acceleration.”
These messages prompted the hotel to clarify that the hotel valet was not involved in the incident.
