We had an unexpected and welcome chill in the air at the start of September. It instantly put a pep in my step. There’s a razor-thin window to take advantage of this perfect weather here in Minnesota, and one of the highlights for me is being able to wear my favorite fall outfit: sweaters with skirts. I took a look at some of these iconic Sézane pieces for a while. Others are brand new to the fall collection and will definitely go fast.
As always, I’ve gathered my honest thoughts on each piece and provided insightful notes. Appreciate!
Fall Outfit 1
The Claudine pass
I love Peter Pan collars, especially with the contrast piping. I will wear this outfit often!
Fit Notes: THE Frances sweater runs a little large but I think it looks great when the fit is a little loose. THE Bettie Skirt true to size – I wear my usual size and still have room to tuck in sweaters. THE André moccasins I size large, I took my usual size 7 (38 in French size) and I swim in it.
Fall Outfit 2
Matching checked set
I love a set! This jacket and skirt combo is a dream. The throw reads both preppy and tomboy. The pieces go well together and also work well on their own when paired with basics. They give a stylish update to any must-have look.
Fit Notes: THE Jacket And Tania skirt true to size. THE Charly sweater runs a little small – consider ordering a size larger. THE André moccasins run big (see note under outfit 1 above).
Fall Outfit 3
The skirt with endless possibilities
This is the Bettie Skirt I coveted! Once I got my hands on it, I realized how many outfit ideas it unlocked. That’s how you know it’s a piece worth adding to your wardrobe. I associated it with this fabulous sweatertransparent socks and my new favorite pumps.
Fit Notes: THE Bettie Skirt And Paula Babies the shoes fit true to size. THE Émile vest is quite oversized! Consider ordering a size smaller.
Bonus Fall Outfit
The monochrome look
This outfit doesn’t have a skirt but I love the gray on navy on black look. I’m breaking all the rules here but it works. I lived in the Madeline vest! I love the way the cotton knit hangs. If there’s one thing to buy in this month’s roundup, it’s this one. cardigan. THE Romie bag is perfect. I love the closure so much: it’s basically a leather buckle that automatically closes the bag every time your arm passes through it. This is an awesome bucket bag design.
Fit Notes: THE Sexy Raw Jeans size small: take one or two sizes larger! The Madeline cardigan runs a little large. THE André moccasins run big (see note under outfit 1 above).
