Two people died in separate fatal shootings Saturday night about three miles apart, bringing in Stockton detectives for the 43rd and 44th investigations this year.
The first shooting happened around 6:33 p.m. near Martin Luther King Boulevard and Aurora Street, according to the Stockton Police Department.
When police arrived on scene, they found a 46-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound. The man was transported to a nearby hospital, where he died from his injuries.
