Rotimi was recently on the “TMZ Podcast” and said Hov managed him and 4 of his nephews during their brief stint as singers in their band “NBH.”
They would write and play music together – then Jay would do critiques on the spot in the living room!!!
Jay trained Rotimi to perform his songs as if he were his older self 10 years later… shaping his creative personality.
Rotimi says that’s when his acting career was born, and it’s all thanks to Jay-Z!!!
After winning over the audience with “Power”, he dug into his Nigerian roots and became a pioneer of Afrobeats.
