Monica Vinader, the leading fine jewelry brand known for its quality, craftsmanship and sustainable practices, continues its physical global expansion by announcing the opening of its first Scottish boutique, a flagship store in the heart of Edinburgh. This location marks the brand’s 25th directly operated store and concession in the UK, US, Hong Kong and Singapore. The Edinburgh store, located on George Street, will welcome its first customers on Saturday November 9, 2024.
The store will feature another first for the brand: a new store concept with an emphasis on conscious design and raw materials. Drawing inspiration from earthy textures and organic shapes, this refined design is an ode to the natural world and the brand’s artisanal heritage. With a strong focus on sourcing real, sustainable materials, the brand’s new design features elements from the Earth’s precious resources such as sand, stone and wood. In line with the brand’s sustainability philosophy, the design incorporates innovative materials such as Red Mud, a by-product of the alumina industry. The new concept aims to offer a unique and immersive experience through art and craftsmanship.
More than just a shopping experience, the store will offer drilling and welding services, as well as free engraving and monogramming, allowing customers to personalize their pieces. Faithful to its commitments to sustainable development, Monica Vinader will also offer its customers the possibility of recycling their gold and silver jewelry in exchange for a gift voucher for their next purchase. Under the jeweler’s 5-year repair guarantee and lifetime repair guarantee, customers are also entitled to repairs and exchanges at the new location.
To celebrate the opening, the jeweler will organize a weekend full of activities which will begin with a gift voucher for the first 30 people in line. Every customer will receive an exclusive tote bag throughout Saturday and customers who spend £150 or more during the opening weekend will receive a free mini chain necklace with paperclip, while stocks last. The store will also have its own pop-up photobooth so customers can capture their opening weekend experiences.
Monica Vinader has over 250 employees worldwide and the new Edinburgh store will create an additional 7 jobs.
“We are delighted to open our first standalone store in Scotland. Through our digital business we know we have a dedicated community in Scotland, particularly in Edinburgh, so we wanted to bring our full service offering closer to them, including drilling and welding services that they can experience at home for the first time. . What makes this opening even more special is that we are introducing our new boutique interior concept which we hope will make the customer journey even more enjoyable as they discover their new favorite jewelry,” explains Monica Vinader.
