Is it okay ruin the tour too? Justin Timberlake postponed six of his Forget Tomorrow World Tour concerts so he could recover from bronchitis and laryngitis.
The old ‘The leader of NSYNC said Tuesday that he was not feeling well during his final tour stops. The dual respiratory infections forced him to push back several Midwest shows, which he had scheduled from Wednesday until early November, into the new year.
“I’m very sorry to say that I have to reschedule the next shows from 10/23 to 2/11,” the singer said. wrote on Instagram. “Thank you for your understanding, I will make it up to you.”
The 10-time Grammy Award winner was scheduled to perform Wednesday in Columbus, Ohio, but announced his no-show a day in advance. He pushed that show back to February 27, and his stops in Chicago, Detroit, Milwaukee and Grand Rapids, Michigan, and St. Paul, Minnesota, have also been postponed until February 2025.
Timberlake is currently expected to resume the tour November 8 with a show in Sunrise, Florida.
Earlier this month, the “Can’t Stop the Feeling” hitmaker abruptly canceled concert in Newark, New Jersey, due to an injury that he said “(prevented) him from performing.”
Issuing an apology about an hour before the show started, the “Selfish” and “Cry Me a River” crooner said he was disappointed not to see his fans but was working to reschedule the show as soon as possible. He did not reveal details about his injury, but postponed the October 8 concert for October 15.
Timberlake released his sixth studio album, “Everything I Thought It Was,” in March and embarked on the Forget Tomorrow world tour in April to promote it. He played the Kia Forum in Inglewood in May and will return to California for shows in Sacramento, Anaheim and Palm Desert in January.
The shows also continued in the wake of his DWI arrest in June in the Hamptons after he allegedly failed to heed a stop sign or stay in his lane while leaving a late dinner. Timberlake ended up pleading guilty to a lesser charge of drunk driving, his driving privileges were suspended, and he was sentenced in September to 25 hours of community service in a non-profit organization of their choice. He also had to make a public safety announcement regarding the dangers of impaired driving.
Days after the sentencing, “The Social Network” star announced the addition of several shows to his 2025 tour, including these three stops in California. Following his postponed concerts in the Midwest, he will embark on an overseas tour of South America, Europe and the United Kingdom with shows scheduled through July 20, when he title Lollapalooza Paris.
