Irish jockey Jack Kennedy suffered a broken leg for the sixth time in his career after a fall at Fairyhouse in which his horse Twoohtrois died.
Kennedy, 25, was riding the opening race at Saturday’s meeting for trainer Gordon Elliott when the pair crashed heavily at the final fence.
Twoohthree died while Kennedy was being treated on the trail.
“Jack broke his right leg and went to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown for treatment,” said Richard Downey, a doctor with the Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board.
Despite his injury-plagued career, Kennedy enjoyed numerous Grade 1 victories and won the Cheltenham Gold Cup aboard Minella Indo in 2021.
