Diddyisn’t running his “Vote or Die” campaign for the 2024 presidential election, in part because he’s in federal custody…but he’s still able to carry out his civic duty.
The founder of Bad Boy Records is locked up at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn while awaiting his criminal trial …but he wasn’t convicted, so he still has the right to vote…and we found out how he could vote.
Figures at the Federal Bureau of Prisons, the agency that runs MDC Brooklyn, told TMZ… Diddy can vote in the 2024 election using an absentee ballot sent out by the federal prison.
We’re told Diddy would have to request an absentee ballot and that he could vote in the state where he’s registered…which in his case would be Florida or California.
It’s unclear whether Diddy will vote in 2024… or if he’s simply too busy preparing his defense – the trial is tentatively scheduled for May 2025 – but we’ve reached out to Diddy’s camp, who have made no comment.
Looks like a lot of inmates might vote in this election…the BOP says people who were eligible to vote before being incarcerated can vote absentee…as long as they haven’t been convicted of a crime. crime again.

Additionally, the BOP tells us that convicts who lived in Maine, Puerto Rico, Vermont or the District of Columbia before their incarceration can still register and vote while serving their sentences… thanks to an executive order of 2021 signed by President Biden.
Meanwhile, all Los Angeles County jails are offering in-person voting for the first time this election cycle. In California, inmates have the right to vote as long as they have not been convicted of a crime.
