Alabama A&M football linebacker Medrick Burnett Jr.. died at the age of 20 after suffering a serious head injury during a match last month.
According to local authorities, he died Wednesday evening at 5:43 p.m. at UAB Hospital.
Burnett Jr. was involved in the collision during A&M’s game with Alabama State on Oct. 26 – a day before his birthday. He was treated in intensive care… and, according to his sister, he had several brain hemorrhages and swelling.
