  1. My mother in law has copd and requires a oxygen machine 24/7 to help her breathe. It is 280w so uses 6.9 kwh of electricity every 24 hours. Last year this cost £45 per month. Now it costs £59. In October it will cost £105, £138 in January, £158 in April. £158 a month, £1896 a year just to be able to effing breathe for someone who has worked and paid tax for 50 years!. She will have to move in with us. I fixed our tariff in October last year. She says she hopes she hopes she dies before our fixed term ends and even joked she would kill herself the day before it ends. The sad thing is, I don’t think she was joking. So to answer the question, no, £150 or £1200 won’t touch the sides. This country is being run into the ground by this disgraceful Conservative party.

  2. If half a million or more households simply refuse to pay their energy bills the government will need to act. There comes a point when there are too many people to simply penalise, power is in numbers here. Ordinary people need to make their voices heard through their grassroots action
