Rocky Mountain introduces first in-house designed Technical clothing Collection

The Rocky Mountain Technical Collection drops today with three new MTB jersey options, plus a hoodie, a pair of shorts, and bib liners for men and women.

Rocky Mountain says the “featherweight” jerseys “feel like AC” and implement antimicrobial fabrics and ventilation to stay fresh. Meanwhile, the subtle hoodie aims to help you stay comfy on the trail this fall and look the part while you sip a beer afterward.

The shorts seek to stay light weight, geared toward casual lunchtime trail rides — or pair with the bib liners for longer outings. And the bib itself gets an MTB-specific chamois pad plus a silicone gripper.

Also, each outerwear entry gets a safety boost via RECCO integration, which helps rescue crews find injured or incapacitated riders faster without adding extra weight or bulk.

Here are the critical points of the MTB-focused Rocky Mountain Technical Collection.

Air Supply 90, Nelson 70, and Slab City 70 Jerseys

  • Rocky Mountain’s lightest weight jersey “for sweltering days on the trail” (claimed).
  • Ventilated and lightweight recycled polyester to facilitate airflow and moisture movement.
  • Casual yet trail-specific construction and shaping like a slightly longer cut in the back waist, and reinforced seams and high wear areas.
  • Antimicrobial fabric treatment fights odor.
  • Variety of short and long sleeve options, plain colors or with graphics.
  • Integrated Emergency ID tag doubles as a goggle wipe.
  • Integrated RECCO Reflector.
  • MSRP: $75-$90 CAD / $65-$80 USD.

Expresso 90 Hoodie

  • Polartec Power Air fabric incases internal yarns to create air pockets that capture body warmth. It aims to keep body heat in and cold air out.
  • Longer rear hem.
  • Full-length zipper.
  • Antimicrobial treatment.
  • Wipe your goggles on the Emergency ID tag.
  • Integrated RECCO Reflector.
  • MSRP: $250 CAD / $210 USD.

Legend 90 Shorts

  • Woven fabric with 4-way stretch and articulated knees to promote freedom of movement.
  • Rocky Mountain’s “first all-mountain short” sits just below the knees.
  • Lumbar storage area gets micromesh to fight soaking: Slash pockets and a zippered phone pocket.
  • Pass-through zone on the right thigh provides access to liner pockets (and Darkside bib liner thigh pockets).
  • DWR treatment.
  • Integrated RECCO Reflector.
  • MSRP: $190 CAD / $155 USD.

Darkside Bib Liner

  • Micromesh and recycled lycra construction.
  • MTB-specific pad with a big cushion for choppy trails and chafe prevention for full-effort uphill pedaling.
  • Seamless, lay-flat suspenders.
  • Silicone gripper to keep it tight.
  • Thigh pockets, accessible through the Legend 90 Short’s pass-through.
  • MSRP: $150 CAD / $120 USD.

RECCO rescue technology

RECCO works by casting a radar beam from a rescue staff’s detector. It operates like a flashlight beam, and when it hits the RECCO reflector inside your clothes, it bounces right back. From there, whoever’s holding the detector moves in.
