Today we are looking at the Winnenden and Wendlingen Rampage and Massacre committed by Tim Kretschemer in 2009.
We will analyse the life of Kretschemer, his motivations for committing the shooting rampage, the events that transpired on 11 March 2009 as well as how Kretschemer was shot by police.
We will analyse the reactions of German society following the massacre, the prosecution of Kretschemer’s father for not correctly storing his guns as well as how Kretschemer influenced the 2016 massacre at a McDonald’s Restaurant near the Olympia shooing mall by David Ali Sonboly.
