Devers went 6-for-6 in Boston’s 7-6 win in Cleveland, picking up his sixth hit and fourth double in the 10th inning.
Devers, 22, is the third-youngest player to go 6-for-6 or better in a game in the modern era. He is also the fifth player in American League history to record 6 hits, 4 extra-base hits and 3 RBIs in a single game. The first to do it was Ty Cobb, and three of the previous four players are now in baseball’s Hall of Fame.
Devers is batting .328 with 24 homers and 93 RBIs through 118 games for the Red Sox this season.
